Class of 1977

What I’ve been doing since 1977!

 Larry and I were married in 1980, and then, after finishing at Marshall, I worked for WOWK-TV for about 5 years.  Cate was born in 1984 and I became a full-time, stay-at-home mom.  We moved to St. Petersburg, FL, briefly in 1986, and then to Roanoke, VA.  Ross was born there in 1988.  AEP transferred Larry to Lynchburg, VA in 1990.  During Cate’s and Ross’s school years, I was very active in PTA and their various sports activities.  I also began work on a master’s degree during that time.  Cate is a graduate of Virginia Tech and a second year law student at Liberty University, and Ross is a freshman at Virginia Tech.  We’re big Tech fans and travel to Blacksburg whenever we can for football and basketball games.  With the children all grown up, we’re looking forward to a new phase in our lives.  We’re just back from our first solo vacation.

 

My fondest memories of  high school and living in the C-K communities!

Looking back, I realize I really loved high school.  Marching with the band (Camelot, Thanksgiving trips, and all of those half-time shows), enjoying the Dixieland Band during basketball games, the Band Follies, and summers at Dreamland Pool are among my favorite memories.
